The 11 x 11 meter circular pool is situated below the pool on a grassed flat terrace with paths leading to lovely walks in the surrounding woodlands.
Truffles and porcini mushrooms are harvested here in season. The views are breath taking from the pool terrace which is also a sun trap.
There are three terrace areas where you can eat or enjoy a drink, read a book or just admire the jaw dropping views.
From the terraces on hears the bells of both towns rolling across the valleys.
It is a 20 minute walk to Penna San Giovanne downhill on the return journey. There is a good restaurant and pizzeria in the village plus a lovely bar in the main
piazza of the old town.
